4 Days Masai Mara and Lake Naivasha

Pick up Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or Nairobi hotel, short briefing and then leave for Masai Mara National Reserve with a short stopover at Great Rift Valley view point. Thereafter; proceed to Masai Mara to arrive at your camp in good time for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, enter the park for game drive tracking big cats and antelopes before sunset. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.

After breakfast, you will embark for a full day game drive. Picnic lunch will be prepared and ready. The Masai Mara is renowned for its abundance and variety of larger plains species as well as the variety of predator species. Popular wildlife that might be seen in the Masai Mara include hippo, giraffe, waterbuck, reedbuck, roan antelope, warthog, eland, topi, gazelle, zebra, baboon, crocodile, various species of monkeys, and black rhino. Except for the mountain gorilla, all of Africa’s Big 7 can be part of your wildlife sightings. The Mara is home to the largest collection of lions in Kenya. Predator species are almost always atop traveler’s wildlife viewing; Lion, leopard, cheetah, jackal, hyena, and various species of mongoose are all found throughout the park.

Do an early morning game drive, return for breakfast at the camp/lodge. Thereafter, leave for Lake Naivasha to arrive in good time for lunch and rest with a view of the lake. In the afternoon, you will have an optional boat-ride and also visit to Crescent Island at an extra cost. Lake Naivasha is famous for its high populations of hippos and flamingos. There are over 1,500 hippos in the area, and you are almost guaranteed to see one. The lake is a birder’s paradise as it is home to over 400 bird species. Lesser and greater flamingos flock to the lake, forming a wash of bright pink across the lake’s surface. Giraffes, zebras, impalas, and waterbucks can be sighted in the immediate vicinity of Lake Naivasha, around Crescent Island, Crater Lake Game Sanctuary, and Longonot National Park.

After breakfast, have a morning leisure with options. Thereafter, you will check-out and depart to Nairobi to arrive in good time for drop off Jomo Kenyatta International Airport/ Nairobi hotel.
