Lake Bogoria National Park

Lake Bogoria is one of the Great Rift Valley Lakes located on the rift valley floor; with its surrounding lakes, it forms Lake Bogoria National Reserve. The Major attractions at Lake Bogoria National Reserve are hot geysers, hot springs, and flamingos. The Lake offers suitable habitation for flocks of Flamingos, whereby most of the lakes contain algae, complimentary food for them. The Movement of flamingoes depends on water lever and algae concentration. The Reserve also contains little wildlife like; Greater Kudu, buffalo, zebra, cheetah, Olive baboons, spotted hyena, caracal, impala, and warthog. The Lake was opened as a tourist destination in 1970 with lodges and public and private campsites.
